Hydro is designed to provide exceptionally clean, great-tasting drinking water through a multi-stage purification system combined with advanced hydrogen infusion. The system first purifies the water, then enriches it with hydrogen and natural trace minerals to create water that is clean, balanced, and refreshing.
The hydrogen function leverages molecular hydrogen’s powerful antioxidant properties, which are widely studied for their ability to help neutralise harmful free radicals in the body. Combined with deep purification and remineralisation, Hydro produces water that is among the highest quality drinking water you can consume.
Here are the three different filtration stages used inside Hydro to purify and optimise your drinking water.
The PAC filter acts as the first line of defence in the filtration process. It combines a sediment filter with powdered activated carbon (PAC) to remove larger particles and common tap water disinfectants.
This stage targets contaminants such as dirt, rust, sand, sediments, residual chlorine, chloramines, and organic compounds that can affect taste and odour. It also helps protect the downstream filters and extend the lifespan of the Reverse Osmosis membrane.
The RO filter uses a 200G high-flux semi-permeable reverse osmosis membrane to separate pure water molecules from dissolved contaminants present in tap water.
Reverse osmosis is capable of removing a wide range of substances including total dissolved solids (TDS), heavy metals, radioactive contaminants, pharmaceuticals, PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), pesticides, herbicides, nitrate, fluoride, bacteria, viruses, chloramines, residual chlorine, sulfate, phosphate, silica, cyanide, selenium, bicarbonate, carbonate, turbidity, total suspended solids, algae, microorganisms, and many other dissolved compounds.
The CF filter is the third and final cartridge and uses a Natural-Trace Mineralised Carbon Rod to remineralise and balance the purified water after reverse osmosis filtration.
Because reverse osmosis removes most dissolved substances from water, this stage reintroduces natural trace minerals using a blend of 18 mineralised materials, including serpentine, sea pumice, calcium feldspar, zinc spinel, bioclastic tuff, hectomorphic dolomite, magnetite, wollastonite, plagioclase, Tengchong volcanic rock, marl, kaolinite ore, volcanic glass rock, tourmaline, Tianshan mafic rock, potassium feldspar, and porous basalt.
This final stage produces smooth, sweet-tasting alkaline water with a pH typically between 8–9, enriched with minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium.
To keep Hydro performing at its best, the filters need to be replaced periodically. Each cartridge has a different lifespan depending on its role in the purification process.
PAC Filter (Stage 1) and CF Filter (Stage 3) should be replaced every 6 months. RO Filter (Stage 2) has a longer lifespan and should be replaced every 2 years.
For convenience, we have organised the replacement cartridges into 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Replacement Filter Bundles. This allows you to simply purchase the next bundle in sequence and easily keep your Hydro system maintained without having to remember which filter is due.
Important: Not replacing the filters as recommended can reduce filtration performance and may cause damage to internal components or tanks. For this reason, failure to replace the filters according to the recommended schedule may void the 2-year warranty. Please make sure filters are replaced on time to keep your system operating safely and efficiently.
